About the Coalition · Since 2018

Educating, mobilizing,
and uniting.

A grassroots, nonpartisan coalition standing with Israel and strengthening our community — in Atlanta, and wherever the need reaches.

Our story

It started with neighbors, and a shared conviction.

Cheryl Dorchinsky founded the Atlanta Israel Coalition in 2018 to bring principled, informed, and unapologetic support for Israel into the civic life of metro Atlanta. What began as a way to gather neighbors around a shared conviction has grown into a coalition that educates, mobilizes, and unites — locally and internationally.

Since 2018, AIC has hosted more than 230 programs, led direct aid missions to Israel, and built partnerships across faith and civic communities. The work stays close to the ground: briefings people can act on, advocacy the community can use, missions that show up where the need is, and gatherings that keep resilience and joy in the picture.

What we do

Four standing commitments.

AIC organizes its work around four pillars. Each is a lasting commitment — and each has programs behind it.

  • What we do

    Education & Briefings

Speaker events, policy briefings, and community forums that build the knowledge confident advocacy depends on.

  • What we do

    Missions & Humanitarian Relief

When communities in Israel face crisis, AIC shows up — on the ground and in partnership with trusted local organizations.

  • What we do

    Joy & Resilience

The Kosher Duck Revolution and initiatives that spread Jewish pride, connection, and joy in everyday spaces.

Where we stand

Pro-Israel is the floor, not the debate.

AIC is pro-Israel, and that is the ground the work stands on rather than a question we relitigate. We stand with Israel's right to exist and to defend itself, and we answer antisemitism with clarity and conviction. Antizionism is antisemitism, and we name it plainly.

AIC is nonpartisan by design. We welcome supporters across the political spectrum who share a commitment to Israel's security, to democratic values, and to confronting antisemitism. Our partners, speakers, and programs reflect that breadth on purpose.
