Melanie Phillips spoke in Atlanta twice on a CAMERA speaking tour — a Monday evening at the Cobb Galleria and a Tuesday breakfast in Sandy Springs. AIC co-sponsored the Atlanta leg.

Speaker

  • Melanie Phillips

    British journalist, broadcaster and author

A columnist for The Times of London, previously published in the Guardian, Observer, Sunday Times and Daily Mail, and a regular panellist on BBC Radio's The Moral Maze. She also writes for the Jewish Chronicle, JNS and the Jerusalem Post. Her books include *Londonistan* (2006), *The World Turned Upside Down* (2010), the memoir *Guardian Angel*, and the novel *The Legacy*.

Phillips spent roughly two decades at the Guardian before the turn that made her one of Britain’s most argued-with columnists. She came to Atlanta on a CAMERA speaking tour to make the case that the West is in a civilizational crisis of its own making.

Two sessions, not two identical nights: a Monday evening at the Cobb Galleria with a reception beforehand, and a Tuesday morning breakfast programme at the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Centre. The tour was CAMERA’s; AIC co-sponsored the Atlanta leg alongside them.
