The Atlanta Israel Coalition is a grassroots, nonpartisan 501(c)(3) organization educating, mobilizing, and uniting communities in support of Israel and against antisemitism, at home and around the world. Cheryl Dorchinsky and Rabbi Yitz Tendler of Congregation Beth Jacob founded it in 2018, and Cheryl has led it ever since. It works with partners across the United States and internationally.

Yes. AIC is nonpartisan by design and welcomes individuals across the political spectrum who share a commitment to Israel’s security, democratic values, and the fight against antisemitism. AIC does not support or oppose any candidate for public office.

AIC is not a congregation, a government body, or a chapter of a national organization, and it supports no candidate or party. It is a Jewish organization which works alongside synagogues, Chabad centers, and churches, and our programs are co-hosted by partners of many faiths.

AIC works across four areas: education and community briefings; advocacy and community mobilization; humanitarian missions and relief to Israel; and joy and resilience programming, including the Kosher Duck Revolution. Since 2018 AIC has hosted more than 230 programs and led humanitarian missions to Israel.

The Kosher Duck Revolution is an AIC program, the joy-and-resilience side of the work, that spreads small acts of connection and support for Israel. It has its own site, and proceeds support AIC’s mission.

Yes. AIC is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, EIN 84-2603211, and gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Your receipt arrives by email.

Your gift funds AIC’s program work directly: community briefings, advocacy training, humanitarian missions to Israel, and community-building. Every tier on the donate page names the part of the work it carries. As a grassroots organization, AIC keeps overhead low and the work close to the community.

Yes, and it’s the gift that goes furthest. A recurring gift keeps the work steady between programs and lets AIC plan ahead. You get a receipt for every gift and a summary at the end of the year. To stop it, email Shalom@atlantaisrael.org or reply to any receipt.

Yes. Checks can be mailed to Atlanta Israel Coalition, Inc., P.O. Box 3902, Alpharetta, GA 30023. To arrange a gift from a donor-advised fund or ask about other ways to give, contact us.

AIC has earned Candid’s Platinum Seal of Transparency, its highest level, and its IRS Form 990-N and full transparency profile are published. AIC is volunteer-led, and its Executive Director, Cheryl Dorchinsky, has never drawn a salary.

A membership gives you something back: the Mitzpe Institute, the members’ side of mitzpe.org, and every Israel Up Close talk free, for as long as you’re a member, from $9 a month. There are no perks attached to a gift, so every dollar is tax-deductible to the extent the law allows. Both pay for the same work.

Every level, from $9 a month or $72 a year, gets you first word on every AIC event and live updates when we’re on the ground in Israel, and it includes a Mitzpe Institute membership: the full Israel Brief Sunday to Friday, the Closed Dossiers, Vantage, and Watchwords. Israel Up Close, our talks twice a month, starts in November 2026. It’s free at every level, and members’ questions go first. The Author’s Table starts in November 2026, and it is free for members. Sustaining Members and the Leadership Circle get the Mitzpe Quarterly Briefing free too once it starts on Tuesday 2 March 2027. In the Leadership Circle, your membership also covers a set number of AIC events each year. Once a year, members at every level meet Cheryl and Uri at a members’ town hall. Each level on the join page lists exactly what it includes.

Once a year, every member, at every level, sits down with Cheryl and Uri. An hour on Microsoft Teams: the year with the numbers, what’s coming, and then your questions. Free, and every level is in the same room. We record it and email members the link afterwards.

Give it about 15 minutes after you join. Then go to mitzpe.org/account and sign in with the same email you joined with, and a sign-in link arrives by email. If it doesn’t, write to us at Shalom@atlantaisrael.org and we’ll sort it out.

Email us at development@atlantaisrael.org, or reply to any receipt we’ve sent you, and we’ll stop the next charge. You keep everything, Mitzpe Institute included, through the end of the month or year you’ve already paid for. A yearly payment without auto-renew has nothing to cancel: it ends on its own after a year.

Yes, if you’re a congregation, school, nonprofit, or civic group. Partnership is free. Fill in the form on the partner page and Cheryl looks at it. Once she approves you, we email your contact a member code that gives your people a free 90-day AIC membership. Businesses can sponsor instead, for $1,000 a year or $360 for one Israel Up Close talk.

Join as a member, come to an event, volunteer, subscribe to the AIC Dispatch, bring your organization in as a partner, share your story, or give. The Take Action page has every way in one place.

AIC runs on volunteers, and there are twelve roles to pick from: running AIC’s social media, fundraising, event help, hosting visiting speakers, photography, mission logistics, and more. Some of them can be done from anywhere. Tell us what you can do and when you’re free.

Admission to an AIC event is $18 to join online and $36 to be there in person. Israel Up Close, our talks twice a month, is $18 a talk and free for every AIC member. Some events are free to attend and ask for a gift instead, which you can give or not. If you’re in the Leadership Circle, your membership covers a set number of events each year: online ones free, in-person ones at half price. Register with the email on your membership and the price comes off on its own. That doesn’t apply to a fundraising gala. Each event’s page shows its price.

On Microsoft Teams. When you register for Israel Up Close, the link to join comes in your confirmation email from us. For The Author’s Table, Microsoft Teams emails you your own link, and that one’s yours alone, so please don’t forward it.

Not on a computer. Open the link from your email in Chrome or Microsoft Edge and choose to continue in the browser. You don’t need an account. On a phone or tablet you do need the Teams app, because Teams doesn’t run in a phone’s web browser. Install it, then tap the link again.

No. At our online talks and town halls, everyone watching joins with their camera and microphone off. You see and hear the speaker, and nobody sees or hears you.

Select Q&A at the top of the Teams window and type it in the “Ask a question” box. Our team reads each question before it’s posted. At Israel Up Close, members’ questions go first.

Yes, live captions. Select Caption in the Teams window and choose a language, and they appear on screen.

About ten minutes early. We open the room ten minutes before we start, which gives you time to get in and turn your sound up. Running late? Come in anyway. You can rewind and watch from the beginning.

On a phone or tablet, check the Teams app is installed, then tap the link again. On a computer, open it in Chrome or Microsoft Edge. Still stuck? Reply to your confirmation email or write to us at Shalom@atlantaisrael.org, and we’ll help you get in.

Israel Up Close talks are recorded. Members get the recording by email, and a week later it goes up for everyone on our Watch page.
