  • Amos Davidowitz

Lt. Col. (Res.), Israeli officer, educator, and author

Born in New York and raised in Israel, he has served in combat command roles since 1974 and is an international educator; author of 'A Path of Peace in the Field of Battle.'

Lt. Col. (Res.) Amos Davidowitz spoke in a private home in Milton on Monday night, November 17, 2025, and seating was very limited.

He is an Israeli officer, an educator, and the author of A Path of Peace in the Field of Battle: An Israeli Officer’s Ethical Will to His Children on the Eve of Battle. He wrote it for his own children before he went to war, in case he didn’t come home. That night he read from it.

He talked about why today’s conflict did not begin on October 7, the moral weight of leading soldiers under fire, raising children with courage and compassion, and how you turn survival into something hopeful. An open Q&A followed. The room listened in silence, and Cheryl Dorchinsky wrote the next morning that they all left it hope-filled.

It was free, with a $36 option to sponsor security.
