Being Safe, Smart and Jewish on Campus: Resilience Prep for College Students
A free afternoon for Jewish students heading to college, run by the Center for Israel Education with partners including AIC.
Rising antisemitism and anti-Israel protests can make it hard for a Jewish student to learn, thrive, or even be openly Jewish on campus. The Center for Israel Education brought students, recent graduates, and Jewish professionals who work on campuses together for a free afternoon before the fall semester, in person and online.
They covered the truth behind anti-Israel slogans, where to start Israel’s story, how to recognize when a protest violates your rights, where to turn for support, and how to make the most of the college years.
AIC was one of the partners, with Hillels of Georgia, AJC, the Federation’s JTeen initiative, ADL, the JCRC of Atlanta, the Atlanta Rabbinical Association, RootOne, and SHIELD.
