The second session is a Hanukkah love story, read the week after Hanukkah, and it’s a good one to read as a couple.
Eight Ways to Say I Love You follows Shira Levinson and Leo David, friends since childhood, across eight years of the festival — the one night a year they are always in the same room, and everything that changes between one year and the next. Amanda Elliot wrote Sadie on a Plate and the bestselling Love You a Latke, and she writes for younger readers as Amanda Panitch. Berkley publishes this one on 27 October, so there is time to get hold of a copy and read it over the festival itself, which runs from the evening of 4 December to the 12th.
Amanda joins us at eight to take questions, and she is with us for the first twenty minutes or so. We carry on talking about the book after she goes.
Free for AIC members at every level — from this session on, the club is members only. You just buy the book.
