Step 1

Report it to the authorities.

Antisemitic threats, harassment, vandalism, and assault are crimes. Reporting builds the record that lets law enforcement act and lets the community see the true scale of what is happening.

  • Local police — for an incident or a crime that is not an emergency, contact your local police department's non-emergency line.
  • The FBI — for a suspected hate crime, report totips.fbi.gov or call 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324).

Step 2

Document what happened.

Details fade and posts get deleted. As soon as you are able, write down and save:

  • The date, time, and place.
  • Photos or screenshots — of vandalism, messages, posts, or emails.
  • What was said or done, in the words used, as exactly as you can recall.
  • Names or descriptions of anyone involved, and any witnesses.

Step 3

Tell AIC.

The Atlanta Israel Coalition is a grassroots community organization. We are not law enforcement and we do not investigate — but when the community knows what is happening, it can respond. Telling AIC lets us stand with you: amplify what you are facing, connect you with the right people, and bring the community's voice to bear. You decide how public your story is.

Questions about reporting

Should I report to the police or to AIC?

Both, and the authorities first for anything criminal. Antisemitic threats, harassment, vandalism, and assault are crimes — report them to your local police (call 911 in an emergency), and report a suspected hate crime to the FBI at tips.fbi.gov. Then tell AIC, so the community knows what is happening and can stand with you.

What does AIC do when I report something?

AIC is a grassroots community organization, not law enforcement, and we do not investigate. When you tell us, we can amplify what you are facing, connect you with the right people, and bring the community’s voice to bear. You decide how public your story is.

How do I report to AIC?

Use the “Report to AIC” button — it opens our contact form with the incident topic already selected — or email [email protected]. First, save what you can: the date, time, and place, plus any photos, screenshots, or witness details.
