Speaker

Rachel Lester
Author of Digital Warrior
Rachel Lester is a digital storyteller, author, and speaker. She served in the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit’s international social media team for four years, making hundreds of videos that reached millions of viewers worldwide. On October 7 she went straight back and served more than 200 days of reserve duty, again working to shape public opinion about Israel and its enemies. Born and raised in Los Angeles, she graduated from the University of Southern California and moved to Israel in 2017. She holds a master’s in government from Reichman University.
Digital Warrior: Inside Israel’s Battle for the Narrative After October 7 is Rachel Lester’s account of the war as it was fought over the story, told from inside the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit. It runs from October 7 through the Al-Ahli hospital blast, the hostage releases, the campuses, Hezbollah, and Iran.
Rachel joins us to talk about how she came to write it, and to take your questions. When she goes, we carry on talking about the book. Stay on afterwards to schmooze — that part is never recorded.
Note the time: this one is at noon Eastern, not our usual eight in the evening.
