Conversation with a Holocaust Survivor
AIC sat down with George Rishfeld, who was hidden as a small child in wartime Poland, for a long conversation about what he remembers, what his parents did to keep him alive, and why he still tells it. Published by AIC in November 2025; the recording itself is undated.

Speaker
George Rishfeld
Holocaust survivor and educator
George Rishfeld was a toddler in Poland when his parents handed him to a Catholic family to keep him alive, and he spent the war hidden in plain sight. He has spent the decades since telling that story to anyone who will listen, most often to schoolchildren. AIC sat down with him for a long conversation — how he was hidden, how his parents survived, how they found each other again, and what he wants people to take from it.
