The talk

Guy Haran has been taking people around Israel’s wineries since 2006. On 5 November he comes to you, live from Israel.

    Thanksgiving is three weeks later, and Chanukah follows. We’ve asked Guy for a few Israeli bottles for the table, and how you actually buy them here.

Raise a Glass of Israeli Wine with Guy

Guy has asked everyone to open a bottle while he talks, so we can all toast Israel’s winemakers together. It’s noon here and seven in the evening in Israel, so a small pour is plenty.

  1. Find a Bottle

    Guy picked a three-bottle set for the evening at Blue White Wines, an online shop for Israeli wine: Lueria Syrah, Flam Classico and Lahat Roussanne. Or join one of their wine clubs and get $50 off your first shipment (email them after you join and mention AIC). Orders take up to a week, so order this week.

  2. Have It Poured

    Open it before noon on Thursday 5 November, so it’s in your glass when Guy comes on.

  3. Toast Together

    When Guy raises his glass, raise yours. To the people who make Israeli wine.

For guests 21 and over. A glass with lunch is plenty, and please don’t drive after.

    Guy Haran is the founder and CEO of Vinspiration, which specializes in wine and culinary travel around the world. He is the author of Wine Journey: An Israeli Adventure, and helped establish the Negev wine region in Israel.

Guy joins us live from Israel for a 45-minute talk, then takes your questions.
