Knesset member Ohad Tal walked a Toco Hills crowd through Israel’s 12-Day War with Iran from the inside, then answered pointed questions on the north, the hostages, and the next round.

    A tank commander turned educator and legislator, elected to the 25th Knesset, where he chairs the Religious Zionism faction and serves on the Foreign Affairs & Defense Committee.

Member of Knesset Ohad Tal came to Toco Hills on Thursday evening, September 11, 2025, to take the room behind the scenes of that June’s 12-Day War with Iran.

He commanded an IDF tank in Operation Defensive Shield and later directed World Bnei Akiva. At the time he chaired the Religious Zionism faction in the Knesset and sat on its Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee. Almost 100 people had registered by the Monday before, and AIC collected questions ahead of time.

The crowd was not in a gentle mood. People wanted to know how secure the north was, what about the hostages, and what happens when the next round starts. Tal answered them one by one, without notes, and the room stayed to the end. Afterward people stayed on to talk, shake his hand, and thank Cheryl Dorchinsky.

It was free, with sponsorship tickets to help cover security.
