The 2022 community Holocaust remembrance ceremony: the names of victims read aloud, with their ages and places of death.
The names, again, with the ages and the places. Six million is a number nobody can hold; a name is a person, and reading it aloud gives back the one thing the murderers meant to erase.
B’nai B’rith International lodges conduct this ceremony nationwide each year around Yom HaShoah. See also 2020 and 2023.
