The Mitzpe Institute Joins the Atlanta Israel Coalition

AIC opens membership for the first time, takes in the Mitzpe Institute and its Israel Brief as its educational program, and launches Israel Up Close and the Author’s Table.

ATLANTA, 1 October 2026. The Atlanta Israel Coalition has opened membership for the first time in its eight years, and the first thing a member gets is the Israel Brief.

The Brief is published by the Mitzpe Institute, which became AIC’s educational program this month. It goes out Sunday to Friday to more than 10,000 readers in more than 95 countries, and every forecast it makes stays on a public record, misses included. AIC members now read all of it. The free Flash Brief keeps going out to everyone.

“For eight years we’ve asked people to know the facts and be ready to say them,” said Cheryl Dorchinsky, AIC’s Founder and Executive Director. “Now every member gets them six mornings a week, from analysts who show their sources and say how sure they are.”

“A volunteer coalition in Atlanta is an unusual home for a research institute, yet it’s the right one,” said Uriel Zehavi, Managing Director of the Mitzpe Institute. “I didn’t want to run the Brief as a business. Selling subscriptions is a whole job by itself, and I’d rather spend my time on the analysis.”

Two new series

Membership comes with two programs that start in November.

Israel Up Close opens on Thursday, 5 November, online, with Guy Haran on Israeli wine, the land, and the people who make it. The series runs twice a month: a talk from somebody who knows Israel firsthand, then questions, with members’ questions first. It is free for every AIC member at every level, and open to everyone else with a ticket.

The Author’s Table opens on Tuesday, 17 November, with Shai Davidai and his book American Intellectual Antisemitism. It is AIC’s book club: one book a month, online, and the author comes to every session. The first night is free and open to everyone. From then on it is for members.

Membership, and the coalition

People join on their own, monthly or yearly, at three levels. Congregations, schools, nonprofits, and civic groups partner with AIC for free, and their people get AIC memberships through a member code. Businesses sponsor. Details and prices are at atlantaisrael.org/join and atlantaisrael.org/partner-with-us.
