Who should we hear from?

Tell us about someone who knows Israel firsthand. Or put yourself forward.

Israel Up Close is AIC’s live talk series on Microsoft Teams, twice a month. Know someone people should hear? Tell us about them. It takes a few minutes.

Who we’re looking for

People who know Israel firsthand.

The speaker lived it, built it, or studies it. Some of the people we’d love to hear from:

  • Journalists who cover Israel from the ground.

  • Scholars and archaeologists who can take us into the history, and the digs.

  • Diplomats who have represented Israel, or worked closely with it.

  • Founders building companies, charities, and new ideas in Israel.

  • Families in the north and the south, and families of reservists.

  • People doing the work farmers, winemakers, rabbis, volunteers, and first responders.

What a talk looks like

45 minutes, then the audience’s questions.

The speaker talks for 45 minutes and then takes questions. Uri hosts every talk and keeps the questions moving. It’s all online, so nobody has to travel. Speaker somewhere else? We’ll find the Thursday that fits their clock.

  • First Thursday

    12:00 PM ET

    Midday

Noon here, which suits a speaker in another time zone.

  • Third Thursday

    7:30 PM ET

    Evening

Evening on the East Coast, after the working day.

  • Recorded

AIC members get the recording by email. A week later, it’s free for everyone on our Watch page.

The speaker

A line is plenty: what they do, and where.

Where are they based?

Talks run on the first Thursday, 12:00 PM ET and the third Thursday, 7:30 PM ET. We pick whichever suits the speaker’s clock.

The talk

A few sentences. What would people know after an hour with them?

What you’d most want to hear them talk about.

How you know them
Do you know them personally?
Could you introduce us?

Only if they’ve said you can share it. If not, leave it blank and we’ll try to find them ourselves.
